Book Launch: In the Mirror (New and Selected Poems of Wong Phui Nam)

Join us on Saturday, Oct 4 to launch In the Mirror: New and Selected Poems of Wong Phui Nam, a new collection of writing by the late Wong Phui Nam, one of Malaysia's foremost and most influential writers. 

This collection situates Wong's work within the current literary milieu through a critical exploration of Malaysia's fractured post-colonial identity and literary landscapes. The editors, Daryl Lim and Brandon Liew, worked with Wong to publish his final poetry collection and put it in conversation with his earlier work including How the Hills are Distant (1960-4), as well as other key essays and literary reflections.

Liew, a writer, editor and researcher at the University of Melbourne, will be present at the launch, moderated by Lit Books' Fong Min Hun. Tickets are RM10 and attendees will receive a voucher that can be redeemed on the day of the event.
