Born in 1971, Yee I-Lann lives and works in her hometown, Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. With a long- standing interest in the Southeast Asian region and its global connectivities, her practice as an artist has cut across photomedia, text, textile, site-specific installation, and video. In recent years, she has been collaborating intensely with other makers to make mats.
